Enjoy the celebrations on both sides of the canal as the cruise time has changed to 4:00 – 5:30!
Special for this year by both North Tonawanda & City Of Tonawanda, on both sides of the canal, will be a series of celebrations not only for Independence Day but also to honor the 200th anniversary of the historic Erie Canal. Activities will take place on both sides of the canal starting at 6:00 PM prior to the fireworks being displayed from the Renascence bridge over the canal. Some key highlights we have been informed will be taking place on both sides of the canal are :
~ Leading up to the fireworks, there are ton of family events and activities that will be taking place on Webster Street, starting at six o’clock, such as free hot dogs grilled by the NT fire department, the police department’s Meet and Greet tent, obstacle courses, rock climbing wall, balloon artists, face painting, a kids game zone, live music and much more
~ A special performance by the 198th Army Band from 6:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. at the Canal Street Pavilion on the City Of Tonawanda side of the canal.
Departure is at 4:00 p.m., returning at 5:30
Boarding is at 3:45 p.m. at 184 Sweeney right on the canal.
